Finger Food

We went to a birthday party for our friends' baby this weekend.  At first she was confused about having a cake in front of her.  Then, she got the idea.  Big time.

No Snow

After a year of absolutely no snow days, we had a tiny flurry on Monday.  Yes, in April.  In honor of the occasion, I am posting pictures of the huge snowstorm 2 years back and some other winter pictures.  2 winters ago, we had Snowpocalypse.  Leck and I were stuck with some other friends at our pastor's house for 76 hours without power.  I have rarely seen so much snow in my life.

Here is my handsome husband all manly on the 4 wheeler plowing the street.

And here is my friend Beth's gorgeous horse.

Hawk Cam

This might be one of the coolest things I have ever seen.  Apparently some hawks are nesting up at Cornell University and they have a live stream camera on them.  Most of the time, all you can see is the mom sitting there.  But, sometimes she moves and you can see the cute little babies.  They are tiny and fluffy and weird looking.  Take a look!

Mt. Vernon

The other weekend, Leck and I took an afternoon trip to Mount Vernon.  It was Leck's first time there and we had a great time!

 There were even baby animals!!!!

Happy Birthday Leck!

I have to give myself props, because I pulled it off.  I surprised Leck with a party for his bday.  I also made a pie, cobbler, and various dips without burning the house down.

More Spring!

I love hydrangeas, so I was sad when our bushes seem to have died.  They looked like dead sticks sticking out of the ground.  But, a few weeks ago, little green buds started coming out of the tops of the sticks.  It was a neat image of rebirth and spring growth.  I can't wait until the flowers come in!

The people who rented our house before us liked Azaleas.  REALLY liked azaleas.  They put multiple colors in stripes in front of our house.  I wish they had just planted one color instead of a weird splattering of them, but they are pretty.  We have all kinds of springy things coming up and in and out.  Despite the constant sneezing, I am enjoying the scenery.
