Crocuses Galore!
The weather has been unusually warm for January/February. Leck and I have never been living in this house during the spring, so we weren't aware that when the weather gets warmer our yard apparently turns into CROCUS CITY...
There are hundreds all over our lawn.
NO one else's yard has them. Only ours. The neighbors are puzzled. Someone asked me if I planted them. It was hard not to respond, "Yes, I don't want grass. I only want FLOWERSSS!!"
They are so pretty and dainty.
It rained this morning and they all curled up to wait until it stopped.

Right to Life Month
Psalm 139:13-18
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.

A Hotdog Love Affair
When we got Harper, we brought a couple toys to the breeder's house. One of them was Mr. Hotdog. We rubbed him all over her parents and brothers and sisters so that she could have their scent when she came home. Eventually, she realized that Mr. Hotdog was ideal for biting and flinging around her head in a violent fashion. She also eventually tore him apart. But, her grandparents (my parents) gave her a new one for Christmas! She loves him. Finally, the two have been reunited.
Harper also got a new squirrel and "demon moose" (as Leck calls it) from her grandmother. She loves these, but neither can compare to her new Mr. Hotdog.
